ABHINAV ROY
—What's your name ?

Abhinav Roy, 31, a man who carries the quiet weight of his own creation. He wasn't born into wealth, no silver spoon, no guiding hand, no easy roads. Everything he had, every brick of the empire that now bore his name, was built from long nights, relentless work and a stubborn refusal to give up.

Abhinav is an introvert who measures his words and guard his emotions like secrets in a vault. To many, he appears cold, distant, even arrogant and the kind of man who doesn't bend easily.

But then, unexpectedly, someone walked into that world, a girl whose name he didn't even know, because she refused to share it. For a man who believe everything should be in order and reason, she was the chaos wrapped in quiet rebellion.

And somehow, he fell.

________

Tripti Kashyap
—My foot

Tripti Kashyap, 29, is the kind of woman who makes rooms feel alive the moment she walks in. Bubbly, witty, sometimes savage with her words but only to hide the softness that makes her care too deeply.

She comes from luxury, marble floors, weekend getaways and a life where everything was handed to her before she even knew she wanted it. Money was never her struggle; her battle was with finding something real in a world wrapped in polish and pretense.

Then she met him, a man who had nothing but his dreams and his stubborn dignity. No expensive car, no tailored suit and no family name to lean on. He was the complete opposite of the men she'd grown up around.

Her friends didn't understand it. Her parents definitely didn't approve. But Tripti couldn't help it, something in his simplicity, his rawness and his refusal to be impressed by her wealth, pulled her closer.

————————

Okay so someone asked, "Is this a cheating trope?" Nope, girly. I don't write cheating tropes, ever. Since the day I started this book (literally last year before I stopped writing it for some reasons). I already knew this question will come up. And honestly? I was so insecure that people wouldn't even give this story a chance because they might misunderstand it as a cheating trope.

Not only that, I am also a little insecure about something else. Look, I have written a few books before (3-4 only, lol), and one thing I genuinely love about my writing is my comic timing. Sometimes while writing, I end up laughing at my own scenes because I'm like, "Wtf did I just write?" 😭

But this book feels different.

Whenever I write this story, there's this strange ache in my chest that I can't really explain. I was writing my other book recently and the humour flowed so naturally there but while writing this one I keep overthinking that maybe the humour isn't hitting properly here. And somewhere in my mind I start thinking, "What if people won't enjoy it because it's not as funny?"

I know I'm probably overthinking because there are readers who genuinely read for the plot, emotions, characters and the depth of the story, and humour is just an extra element. But still... I really love making people laugh.

And yes, there will be comic scenes too. I hope those moments make you laugh and give you a little break from the heaviness of the story because right now, everything between them has changed so much.

I already mentioned in the tropes that this is an emotional dark romance and I truly hope you all understand what that means. There will be moments where you might feel frustrated, emotional, maybe even cry or sob because this story is written from pain, misunderstandings, love and the emotional damage both of them carry inside.

They have gone through a lot.

So I just hope you all are emotionally intelligent enough to understand them before judging them. 🤍

NOTE: Please avoid comments like "Arey ___ yaha" or "___ ki yaad aa gayi" I understand that you like certain characters but comparing my characters to those from other stories is not something I appreciate. I put a lot of time, effort and emotion into creating my own characters and their journeys. If I continue to see comments like that, I will have to delete them and may mute or block the user. I hope you understand that this is simply about respecting the author and the work behind the story. It's completely okay if you are discussing or comparing characters from my other books, I'm happy with that. But comparisons with characters from other authors' books are not acceptable here.

Thank you for understanding and for supporting the story. Your respect and encouragement mean a lot.
